In 2019, LHC launched and started collaborating on several successful projects, including the Missouri Medicaid Expansion ballot initiative: Yes On 2, Missouri Confluence Waterkeeper’s clean water initiative, and programmatic research for a nationally based family foundation. These projects provided an invaluable foundation for the work that we pursue to this day.

Andrew Shaughnessy, Owner & Principal, is an award-winning advocate and strategist from a small rural town called Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from Missouri State University and a master’s degree in human rights from University College London. He also has a second master’s degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University, alongside certification in health finance and management. He proudly serves on the Board of Directors of DOORWAYS Interfaith Housing, Missouri Public Health Association, and St. Louis County Department of Health’s Clinical Consumer Majority Board.
